About
Located in the picturesque village of Kinver in Staffordshire, the Society was founded for the purpose of bringing together persons interested in Model Engineering and the construction of models of all kinds. The society has evolved over the years, whilst still acting as a forum for members to discuss model engineering, it has constructed over the years an extensive raised 2150 ft track catering for both 5" and 3 1/2" gauges steam or electric locomotives as well as a small ground level 7 1/4" track.
The track and facilities are available to members at anytime and are also used to run the trains for the community on Sunday afternoons as well as our hugely popular Halloween event. (COVID permitting). Details of these public events can be found on our separate site Kinver Miniature Railway.
During the winter, the club house is used for occasional presentations and lectures details are on our calendar.
If you are keen to develop your interest in Model Engineering, whether building from scratch, building a kit or simply maintaining a purchased model, the members are always encouraging and happy to help with advice and hands on assistance.
